Compound: 5 ml of product contain:

Active substance - iodine 0.125 g, auxiliary substances - potassium iodide – 0.125 g, ethyl alcohol 90% - 5 ml and the purified water – 12,5 ml.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antiseptics and disinfectants.

Pharmacological action: Antiseptic, antibacterial, diverting and locally irritating. Coagulates proteins with iodamine formation. It has a bactericidal effect, it has tanning and firing properties. Irritating to skin and mucous membrane receptors. On contact with the skin, it is converted to iodides by 30%, but the rest remains in the form of elemental iodine. Partially absorbed from the skin surface. The absorbed part can enter tissues and organs and can be selectively absorbed by the thyroid gland.

Indications: Iodine pencil is used externally as an antiseptic to treat the edges of wounds, abrasions, cuts, microtraumas, it is used for marking, treatment of the operating field and doctor's fingers, treatment of skin fungal diseases, in case of myositis.

Contraindications: hyperthyroidism, renal failure. Individual intolerance (including history of hypersensitivity). It is forbidden to treat the skin with acne, haemorrhagic diathesis, urticaria, diabetic trophic ulcers.

Precautions: Do not apply to large areas of skin as burns may develop. Do not use in children under 1 year of age as there is a risk of developing thyroid dysfunction and skin damage. Avoid contact with eyes.

Use: Remove the cap and apply the solution to the damaged skin. Use topically. Damaged skin areas should be treated as needed. The device is intended for individual use. Close the cap after applying the solution.

Side effects: A short burning sensation appears on the skin and mucous membranes, which passes on its own. If you have any side effects, talk to your doctor.

Interaction with other medicinal products: Incompatible with other medicinal products containing topical oxidizing agents, alkalis (including ammonia solution), mercury, essential oils, ichthyol, enzyme-containing medicinal products.

Storage: Do not store above 30 ° C in the original package in order to protect from light and children. No special storage conditions required.
